WHAT IS PARENT PEER SUPPORT?

The goal of Parent Peer Support is to meet families where they are and provide the support necessary to increase family involvement, voice, and engagement within youth systems and to equip parents with the skills necessary to address the challenges of raising a youth with mental or behavioral health needs, thus improving outcomes for youth.

who are parent peer supporters?

  • A parent, just like you!

  • A Parent Peer Supporter is a parent or caregiver who has a child who has lived experience in the system of care ( mental health, juvenile justice, developmental disabilities, child welfare, etc.)
